Gold

I got some gold leaves and played around with it, tried to show the dirty and shiny sides of gold, by applying layers of sienna, ardoise, noir de vigne, titan oxyde.

Gold â€“ symbol of power, wealth, purity, dead, war, earth, slavery, blood, jewelry, gold rush, enlightenment, greed, cyanidation, altering nature, wedding ring, currency speculation, spiritual values, imperishability, eternity.

Supports, Pretreatments and Materials

So far, I produced most of my colors by myself, only the primer and the varnish for "Passion vs. Ratio" I bought.
Doing everything by myself is like a huge field of experimentation and  a lot of fun. When tinkering I learn a lot about the successive reactions of the materials and of course, I discover also my limits. I realize, that I do not have enough knowledge about the use and reactions to various substrates and materials and so far I did not really think a lot about the long-term durability of the result.

artfabrik

What does Art do with us?

The Art Fabrik opened first of July, and it has been an interesting and friendly experience so far. Surprisingly many people from the village came to the opening, surprising because most Fitounais’ are usually quite reluctant embracing something new..
The reactions were all very positive. Some visitors were the first time at an art opening and bit shy at the beginning, but that changed quickly. It was nice to see how the people were in contact with each other and with the art.

Blue and a fine green line

After Red, I made Blue and a fine green line.

Here again, I used different shades of one colour: grated Lapislazuli, which gives the ultramarine, indigo and Bleu Ercolano, a synthetic pigment.
Applied in layers with different binders, it creates wonderful colour effects such as the fine green line.

Red

So far, I have always worked with several colours, with Red I limited myself to one colour, but in different shades: ochre rouge, Rouge de Venise, vermilion. Again, I have worked with different layers and binders, such as marble powder, linseed oil and acrylic.
